Open house at the Red City Hall Underground Station

The U5 Gap Closure Project will extend the U5 line from Alexanderplatz to the Brandenburg Gate, to unite with the U55 line.  Along this 2.2 kilometer stretch, 3 new stations will become part of Berlin's underground network.

Although there isn't much to be seen at surface level, construction on the Red City Hall Station has been underway since January of 2013.

“What are they actually doing?”, “Will it ever be finished?”, “Is there anything even happening here?”

You'll soon be able to answer these and other questions, and see for yourself exactly what's happening, because we're delighted to announce the completion of its structural works. We cordially invite you to attend an

Open house at the Red City Hall Underground Station

on 7th of Septmeber 2016 from 2 p. m. to 8 p. m.

at the construction site directly in front of the Red City Hall, Spandauer Str. entrance

Brave the descent into the bowels of the construction site. Find out about the challenges and history of these fine structural works.

Set foot where tracks will soon lay and trains shall roll. An R.S.V.P. is not required, although sturdy footwear is recommended.
